Meridian Energy will acquire 100% of NZ Windfarms for 25 cents a share, subject to approval from the High Court and NZ Windfarms shareholders.If the deal fails, the scheme implementation agreement (SIA) includes a commitment to underwrite NZ Windfarms’ financial obligations for a windfarm joint venture.Meridian is NZ Windfarms’ largest shareholder, with a 20% stake in the company.New Zealand Exchange-listed (NZX) NZ Windfarms stated the Meridian share offer represented an equity value of around $91 million.
