Allied Farmers shareholders have approved the sale of subsidiary company NZ Farmers Livestock.The conditional deal would swell Allied’s coffers by about $7 million, its slice of the more than $10m sale price.The sale to South Island agency Rural Livestock includes the livestock agent network, veal processing and marketing business Farmers Meat Export, a more than 50% stake in Hawke’s Bay-based Redshaw Livestock and saleyard interests.Allied Farmers is seeking an exit on the back of an improved performance from the livestock business...
