New Zealand retail investors are being promised access to a $20 million capital raising in mid-2026 to help fund a critical minerals mining operation on the West Coast near Barrytown.Taiko Critical Minerals says it will be targeting garnet, ilmenite and zircon, using a mining plan that will effectively strip existing farmland to a depth of several metres to create a mineral-rich sludge for processing.It will then restore the land to pasture under a “rehabilitative mining” method that its promoters say will make the land more product...
