NZ dollar may breach 66 US cents as optimism reigns

The New Zealand dollar may rise above 66 US cents for the first time in more than five months as persistent optimism about the pandemic recovery keeps investors keen on risk-sensitive assets. The kiwi traded at 65.39 US cents at 5pm in Wellington from 65.13 cents at 5pm yesterday. The trade-weighted index was at 72.16 from 72.03.
