The New Zealand dollar is hovering around 60 US cents ahead of a widely expected US rate cut and the domestic gross domestic product data. Markets are banking on the US Federal Open Market Committee cutting its benchmark target by 25 basis points to between 4% and 4.25% and so the main focus will be on the forward guidance.There is currently more than a 70% chance of follow-up cuts in October and December, according to CME FedWatch. The kiwi last traded at 59.76 US cents late Wednesday in Wellington.
