New Zealand’s shares fell on the open as Wall Street tumbled on recession fears, but the decline may not be as steep. “Our market will be affected on open, but we are a more defensive market, so I wouldn’t expect to see the same share declines as what we’ve seen in the US,” Craigs Investment Partners investment adviser Peter McIntyre said.“But in saying that, the likelihood is we pull back today as risk gets taken off the table.
