SkyCity Entertainment has poached Auckland mayor Phil Goff's chief of staff Nirupa George, appointing her as the casino group's new chief corporate affairs officer.George has worked in the mayor's office for the past five years, four of those as chief of staff after serving as principal political advisor and senior press secretary.
