Retail investors lose faith in NZX, Chartered Accountants' survey says

Retail investors are losing confidence in New Zealand’s capital markets and looking for returns offshore, according to the latest investor confidence survey by Chartered Accountants Australia NZ (CA ANZ). The poll of 500 retail investors revealed a growing sense of unease regarding domestic capital markets, while confidence in overseas markets is rising.The percentage of individuals who said they have “a great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence in the home market fell to 22%, from 28% in 2023.
