Skellerup, Rakon and Mainfreight: analysts digest cost of US tariffs

An analyst is warning listed rubber manufacturer Skellerup’s cost of sales to the US could rise by more than 25% because of President Donald Trump’s new tariffs. Forsyth Barr said in a research note on Monday that gumboot maker Skellerup would be hit by the latest round of tariffs due to manufacturing products in China and Vietnam. The US is levying a 54% total tariff on goods from China and 46% on Vietnam imports, while New Zealand imports will attract a 10% tariff. The analysts said Skellerup’s US tariff bill...
