New Zealand Exchange-listed advanced parts manufacturer Rakon says the semiconductor industry is monitoring quartz supply after Hurricane Helene hit a US town where two large mines are. Hurricane Helene damaged Spruce Pine in North Carolina, and quartz mining companies, The Quartz Corporation and Sibelco, halted production.
