MediaWorks is set to launch a new talkback radio brand to replace Magic Talk, hiring Newshub political editor Tova O’Brien to host its breakfast show. The radio and outdoor advertising group has announced the launch of a new brand next year, with O’Brien to exit her role at Discovery-owned Newshub.The revamp means the Magic Talk name will disappear from the New Zealand airwaves, sources said.The rebrand follows a period of controversy for Magic Talk.
