Metlifecare confident takeover going ahead; Augusta deal canned

Metlifecare says the $1.49 billion takeover bid from European buy-out firm EQT is still on the table, although investors don’t appear to agree, as the shares slumped 19.1 percent. And while Augusta Capital’s $180 million deal is off for now, its shares were only down 4.2 percent.
