MRP chair Joan Withers to join ANZ New Zealand board in July

March 11 (BusinessDesk) - Joan Withers, the chair of state-owned power company MightyRiverPower, is set to join the board of ANZ New Zealand from the start of July. Withers will become an independent director of the country's biggest bank, effective July 1, ANZ said in a statement. The appointment has been approved by the Reserve Bank, and will come after the sell-down of the government's stake in MRP.
