April 5 (BusinessDesk) - One of the country's most experienced public relations professionals, Tina Symmans, has been appointed to the Takeovers Panel. Deeply connected to the National Party, Symmans was a key adviser to the party on its 2008 election campaign and has previously held senior corporate roles at Telecom and Contact Energy, and was an adviser to the then owner of the Tiwai Point aluminium smelter, Comalco New Zealand, in the 1990s.
