Comvita shares jump on profitable March quarter

Comvita shares jumped 22.2 percent after the honey products maker said it was profitable in each month of the March quarter with double-digit sales growth from a year earlier.The stock rose 62 cents to $3.41 at 11.20 am and traded as high as $3.42, its highest level since June.Comvita said it had reduced debt as a result of the better cashflow.It said this year’s honey harvest was up 60 percent from a year earlier and that the quality of the crop was also better.
