Kiwibank's net profit up, considers closing seven branches

Kiwibank announced a solid half-year result for the six months ended Dec 31 after recording a net profit of $55 million. Its net profit was up $4m, or 8%, compared to the previous corresponding period while operating income was up $10m at $287m.This comes amid the ongoing challenges that covid-19 has brought, especially to the banking industry.
