Christopher Luxon’s chief press secretary, Hamish Rutherford, has resigned and will leave the Prime Minister’s office by Christmas.Rutherford told political journalists of his decision this morning, citing a desire to be able to spend more time with his young family.Rutherford joined Luxon’s office before the last election, having previously been the NZ Herald’s Wellington business editor and before that working for Stuff.
