New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are to begin negotiations on a trade agreement, trade minister Todd McClay said.The announcement came after McClay met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) trade minister Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi in Dubai.The decision to hold formal trade talks on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the UAE followed successful exploratory discussions and public consultation.“The UAE is a key export destination and hub in the Gulf region, and there are significant opportunities to enhance c...
