RBNZ deputy left early after admitting 'unauthorised' comments

Deputy Reserve Bank governor Geoff Bascand left his role earlier than intended after making unauthorised comments to external parties, the central bank confirmed today.He was to have left the role he had held since 2013 early this year, but instead left the bank on Dec 17.“Mr Bascand disclosed that he had shared information about the RBNZ’s leadership reorganisation to a third party which was unauthorised and a breach of protocol,” a statement, supplied by the bank on request, said.
