Seeka is another step closer to acquiring post-harvest operator Opotiki Packing and Coolstorage (OPAC) after 99.94% of its shareholders backed the deal, well above the 50% support needed.A combined Seeka-OPAC business will handle approximately 25% of New Zealand’s kiwifruit crop and will be NZ’s largest kiwifruit grower and the second-largest post-harvest operator, according to Seeka.The only remaining conditions are OPAC grower support and banking thresholds, Seeka said.Major growers estimated to be supplying more than 75,000 trays...
