Z Energy said it had agreed to terms offered by the New Zealand Refining Company to close its Marsden Point refinery and transition to an import terminal system (ITS).The deal will see ITS users agree to a terminal services agreement, which will have an initial term of 10 years, with the option for customers to extend, Z said in a statement.Z, which has a 15.4% stake in the refinery operator and is its largest customer, said the deal still requires final sign off by the directors and shareholders of Refining NZ, including BP and Mobil.
