The New Zealand arm of insurer nib has produced an underlying operating profit of $13.2 million for the first half of the year.It compares with the $18.2m in the first half of the last financial year, which was inflated by a one-off deferred acquisition costs adjustment.In the six months to Dec 31, the insurance premium revenue of nib NZ, whose parent nib Holdings is listed on the Australian securities exchange (ASX), increased to $197m, up from $179m, driven by strong private health policyholder growth.The NZ profit included $3.2m from OrbitPr...
