NZ commodity prices fall further in September - ANZ

By Rebecca Howard Oct. 3 (BusinessDesk) - New Zealand commodity prices fell in September for the fourth consecutive month, with five of the six broad categories measured weakening, the ANZ's monthly commodity price index shows. The index fell 1.8 percent in September and is now down an annual 3 percent. However, the weaker New Zealand dollar saw the index fall just 0.6 percent in September on a currency-weighted basis, and it was up 6.5 percent from a year earlier due to the local currency's decline.
