By Jonathan Underhill Aug. 23 (BusinessDesk) - The New Zealand dollar fell ahead of the pre-election fiscal and economic update this morning and as the greenback gained before the annual central banking conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming later this week. The kiwi declined to 72.75 US cents as at 8am in Wellington from 73.24 cents late yesterday. The trade-weighted index was at 76.62 from 77.01.
