NZ dollar rises as inflation data reduces rate-cut risk

The Consumers Price Index for the December quarter came in at 0.1 percent with the annual pace holding steady at 1.9 percent. The kiwi was trading at 67.66 US cents shortly after 5pm in Wellington from 67.24 at 8.30am. The trade-weighted index climbed to 73.46 points from 73.06.
