Global dairy prices have dropped for a sixth time as “abundant” milk supplies weigh down on the market.The Global Dairy Trade Price Index dropped 2.4% overnight to an average price of US$3,768 (NZ$6,666) per metric tonne – having fallen at every auction since Aug 19.Whole Milk Powder (WMP), which makes up over half of the auction by volume and has the biggest influence on farmgate milk prices, fell a further 2.7% to US$3,503/MT.WMP is now 20% off its 12-month high of US$4,374/MT back in late May.Skim Milk Powder, however, was...
