New Zealand’s house price inflation continues to outstrip most of the developed world’s post-pandemic increases.For the 12 months to June, NZ house prices jumped by an average annual 25.9% year-on-year. This is second only to Turkey which had a 29.2% increase for the same period, according to the latest Knight Frank global house price index.That’s in line with a covid induced housing price boom that has seen record global average price rises of 9.2% across 55 countries and territories.The boom, prompted by quantitative easing...
