NZ stocks gain in muted response to South Island quake

By Paul McBeth Nov. 14 (BusinessDesk) - New Zealand shares rose in a subdued response to the 7.5 magnitude earthquake in the upper South Island that's claimed two lives and brought Wellington's CBD to a standstill.  The S&P/NZX 50 index increased 32.11 points, or 0.5 percent, to 6729.64 as at 11am. Within in the index 13 stocks gained, 16 fell, and 22 were unchanged.
