Open Country Dairy posts record annual profit in 2015

By Tina Morrison Feb. 16 (BusinessDesk) - Open Country Dairy, the dairy manufacturer controlled by Talley's Group, posted a record annual profit last year even as revenue fell. Profit increased 16 percent to $34.4 million in the year ended Sept. 30, 2015, according to the Auckland-based company's annual report. Revenue slid 24 percent to $688 million while the cost of sales sank 28 percent to $620.5 million, according to the accounts.
