The KiwiSaver market has hit a slow patch.Inland Revenue Department (IRD) data show scheme member numbers grew by a measly 45,363, or just 1.35%, over the 12 months to June 30 this year, in what ranks as its worst-ever result by this metric.Membership growth rates have naturally slowed over the years as KiwiSaver draws a greater proportion of the overall population into its fold.
