Auckland council’s budget shortfall has grown to $375 million, according to mayor Wayne Brown.In a statement released on Wednesday, Brown’s office said the new figure was up from the $295m forecast in December when the mayor’s budget proposal, which includes selling down shares in Auckland International Airport, was released.The 2022 annual budget, meanwhile, put the projected shortfall at between $90 and $150m, the statement said.“The ongoing projected shortfall is $225m more than the previous council planned,” Br...
