A prime central Auckland site could be used to park buses for the next 10 years, despite the land being valued at nearly $20 million. On July 20, Auckland council granted the NZ Transport agency, Waka Kotahi, resource consent to use a prominent corner site at 154-174 Beach Rd to store up to 57 buses and put in six electric charging points. The land has a rateable value of $19.2m, according to the council website.
