About 12,500 tourists still in New Zealand since the covid-19 pandemic gripped the world have been granted a two-month extension to their stay.Immigration Minister Kris Faafoi today announced an automatic extension for holders of visitor visas due to expire on or before the end of March and also temporarily waived the time limit on the number of months they can spend in NZ.
