Creative New Zealand dismissed media reports and didn't pursue issues relating to the conduct of a firm at the centre of controversy involving Callaghan Innovation before awarding the company a $5.3 million four-year contract last Friday.The arts funding body decided not to speak to Callaghan about the reports that included claims of poor business practice by Auckland firm We Are Indigo (WAI), the use of private investigators that WAI believed was a conflict of interest, or to check whether the reports involved any more than griping on soci...
