The government has been warned to think carefully about the transition away from gas with the potential for more than $5 billion in costs to households and businesses.The Gas Infrastructure Future Working Group says decisions about whether current infrastructure is repurposed for future use or abandoned entirely will have major impacts on the economy.The report by the group is a collaboration between major sector players such as Vector, Powerco and Firstgas, with input from government agencies.It comes ahead of the government releasing its firs...
