The Electricity Authority is to require the major generator/retailing electricity generators to release information about their internal price transfers.The move is a reaction to claims the major gentailers subsidise their retail operations by selling cheap power to them and thus making smaller retail competitors pay more for electricity to meet their demand.This is one of the arguments put forward by those who want to split up the major gentailers to break their market dominance.
