Govt funds $5.6m for joint NZ-Nasa Earth observation projects

The Government is putting $5.6 million towards five joint New Zealand-Nasa Earth observation research projects.The projects fall under a 2022 space co-operation agreement between NZ and the United States and follow on from an earlier Nasa-NZ feasibility study. The funding from the Catalyst Fund will be spread over three years. Nasa will contribute Earth observation satellite data and access to advanced tools and technology.
