The number of companies that will have to report on climate change’s impact on their businesses have been reduced by a parliamentary select committee by excluding those with a market capitalisation of under $60 million.The Financial Sector (Climate-related Disclosures and Other Matters) Amendment Bill will require about 200 entities covered by the Financial Markets Conduct Act to make the disclosure.
