With omicron in the community, millions of New Zealanders are still waiting for the protection offered by a vaccine booster dose. The Ministry of Health has already reduced the minimum gap between the second and third doses of the Pfizer vaccine to four months down from six. In the United Kingdom, the wait is just three months.
