New top public service job for departing Oranga Tamariki boss

The embattled chief executive of the government’s child protection agency, Oranga Tamariki, has resigned and will immediately move to a new senior public service role.In a move clearly intended to show that Grainne Moss’s departure after four difficult years at the already troubled agency was not forced, or was a judgement on her performance, she will take up a role from mid-April as chief executive for the public service’s pay equity initiatives.
