The government is pumping about $1.5 billion into New Zealand’s covid-19 vaccination programme, said covid-19 response minister Chris Hipkins.It is the first time it has confirmed the amount of money for the two-year programme.“Of this, more than $1 billion has been allocated for purchasing vaccines and specialist equipment,” he said.Some $964.3 million is for manufacturer advance purchase agreements and the Covax facility to support equitable access to covid-19 vaccines, while $66.3m is for specialist vaccine equipment, inclu...
