Contractors have been hired by the government to look at the feasibility of the $4 billion-plus Lake Onslow pumped hydro project.Energy minister Megan Woods said it marked a major milestone in the project which has caused considerable debate in the sector.The consortium, Te Rōpū Matatau, will be led by engineering consultancy Mott MacDonald New Zealand, with engineering consultancy firm GHD, and environmental planning and design consultancy Boffa Miskell.The contract is worth about $11.5 million“The first part of this investigation will l...
