Queenstown Lakes councillors begrudgingly signed off on covering rising construction costs and the discovery of asbestos at the Lakeview development.In one of the final items of a four-hour council meeting, they agreed to an $8.2 million net increase in the capital budget for the project, saying they were concerned about a blow-out in the cost of infrastructure for drinking water, waste water and stormwater and for transport linking the subdivision to the central business district.Councillor Quentin Smith said it was very disappointing the scop...
