The residency requirement to receive superannuation is set to rise from 10 to 20 years after Labour indicated it would back a Member’s Bill on the issue.The New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income (Fair Residency) Amendment Bill was originally an NZ First MP’s bill but was picked up by National’s Andrew Bayly MP.Parliament’s finance and expenditure select committee has reported on the bill and recommended it passes.
