The government has called in former NZ First Party MP Tracey Martin to lead an eight-person board to oversee its plan to merge state-owned broadcasters TVNZ and Radio NZ.“The governance group will oversee the development of a business case to consider the viability of a new public media entity,” said broadcasting and media minister, Kris Faafoi, who is a strong proponent of the merger.The two broadcasters are currently established on completely different funding models, with RNZ almost 100% state-funded while TVNZ relies primarily o...
