In what unions are describing as a historic win, the employment court has found four Uber drivers to be employees, not contractors. Chief judge Christina Inglis issued her decision on the case, taken by unions E tū and FIRST Union on behalf of four former or current drivers, on Tuesday. Uber has said it will appeal the decision, which it described as disappointing, noting it was at odds with a former finding by the court. In her judgment, Inglis described the relationship the drivers had with the global rideshare behemoth as one...
