Legislative changes giving small club treasurers and charity officers legal duties akin to company directors are set to pass at a time when the supreme court is reviewing director’s liability law. But commerce and consumer affairs minister, David Clark, said, if the ongoing Mainzeal case impacts the Incorporated Societies Bill, there will be time to fix it before it comes into force.
