Chinese demand for animal protein because of swine fever disrupting pork supply there drove another month of double-digit export growth for New Zealand firms selling into the world’s most populous nation. Exports to China rose to $1.5 billion in October, 22.8 percent more than the same month a year earlier and 19.8 percent higher at $16.17 billion on an annual basis, Stats NZ figures show.
