Dairy product prices decline for second straight time

By Margreet Dietz June 5 (BusinessDesk) - Dairy product prices fell at the Global Dairy Trade auction, sliding a second consecutive time, as whole milk powder continued its retreat.  The GDT price index dropped 3.4 percent from the previous auction two weeks ago. The average price was US$3,423 a tonne, compared with US$3,414 a tonne two weeks ago. Some 19,874 tonnes of product was sold, up from 15,510 tonnes two weeks ago.
