Marlborough Sounds aquaculture firm King Salmon has been forced to slash guidance for earnings by 50% or more following unusually poor feed consumption by salmon over the past summer.Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (ebitda) is now forecast at between $6 million and $12m for the 2026 financial year, compared with earlier guidance of between $15m and $24m.The reduced profit reflects a decision to reduce salmon harvest volumes to between about 5,200 metric tons (MT) and 5,400 MT instead of the previously forecast 5,900...
